DIANA CHABROS (BFA, M.Ed) is a professional visual artist whose oil paintings focus on the land, ideas of reciprocity and humility. Having relocated from Regina to Val Marie, in 2012, a village on the cusp of Grasslands National Park, Diana documents, through paint, her dialogue with the area’s rich mix of cultures, stories, and resident beings. Moved by the power of the land, its subtle energy and sentience as a biological entity, she explores our interdependence with the land and the human impacts we confer upon her.
Informed by research and practice within the fields of Yoga, Buddhist and nehiyaw/Cree worldviews, she is careful to honour these traditions and her teachers.
